Materials:
Champagne Flute -#1151-41
Krylon Gold Leaf Pen –#SW9901
Adirondack Alcohol Inks –#TIM20707
16 g. green wire -32023-4
White felt
Rubber gloves
2 rubber bands (choice of width)
Electric tape (or flexible tape)
Acrylic sealer/varnish, foam brush, scissors
Directions:
- Place rubber bands on the glass marking where your tape will go (use rubber bands the thickness desired on the gold trim). Adjust the rubber band so it is level all around, *spinning the glass is a good check system.
- Place tape just above the top rubber band and just below on the bottom band, remove rubber bands.
- Cut some felt into 2” squares.
- Put gloves on and add alcohol inks to the felt (cranberry and oregano were used), dot glass with the gold leaf pen and blot inked felt randomly over glass, add more ink for darker tint. Move quickly alcohol inks dry fast.
- When dry, place rubber bands back in their original spot.
- Tape just below the upper and above the lower.
- Remove rubber bands, in a back and forth motion, glide the gold leaf pen around each ring.
- *use a foam brush to apply a clear acrylic varnish over metallic paint pen and alcohol ink. Let dry completely.
